The CUED Control Group has been involved in various aspects of flight control for several years. A major activity has been the development and flight testing of a robust controller for DERA's VAAC-Harrier, designed using novel control theory.

The Group also participated in GARTEUR Action Groups AG-08 'Robust Flight Control' and AG-11 'New Analysis Techniques for Flight Clearance'. The Group is a member of the EPSRC-sponsored Aerospace Control Research Engineering Network.

The aerospace-related interests of the Group encompass modelling for control, control system design, flight clearance of complex controllers, and exploitation of on-board models.
