The Group is very active in a number of topical areas: whole aircraft wake modelling, high lift airfoils, shock-boundary layer interaction, flow stability, flow noise & cabin acoustics.

A substantial activity in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) interacts with experiment and fundamental modelling and focusses on real-world problems

The Group is a member of two Defence Aerospace Research Partnerships: M* concerned with turbulence modelling & PUMA dealing with unsteady flow & stability.
